In Siaya County, the Children First Organization (CFO) runs the St. Heidi Pre-School Program, which serves several disadvantaged children from Kamariga Beach—one of the most underserved areas in the county. Most of the children enrolled come from families facing significant socio-economic challenges. The school not only provides a safe and nurturing environment during the day but also lays a strong foundation for early childhood education.The center is named St. Heidi in honor of Heidi Peters, a dedicated Board Member whose unwavering vision for a better world is deeply reflected in the school’s mission. Through her personal support and the generosity of her network, Heidi has been instrumental in the school’s construction and ongoing operations. This initiative has transformed the lives of many families by offering educational opportunities to children who would otherwise be out of school.
